The richness of our 3-week driving tour through Italy would not have been possible without Barbara's meticulous planning. We had a very detailed itinerary for each day listing activity and meal suggestions in addition to a booked accommodation for the night. The trip began in the north at the Lake District, continued south along and near the west coast until we took a ferry to Sicily. After 5 days exploring Sicily, we took another ferry to the east side of the mainland, exploring all the way to Trieste on the Adriatic and north through the Alps. Variety in experiences (cities; villages; nature; Etruscan, Greek, Roman, and Byzantine sites; San Marino; 14 UNESCO World Heritage sites; and more) and variety in accommodations (hotels, agri-tourism B&Bs; an apartment in a hilltop city of stone; a trullo house) made it fun to discover what each day would bring. We truly appreciate all the time and research Barbara put into this adventure.
